Are “silk” flowers & greenery actually made with silk materials?

The word "silk", when describing artificial flowers, does not mean the item is made out of silk. Keeping to industry standards, the word "silk" is used to describe a flower or plant that is artificially made. Materials of the flower head or leaves, and may include, but are not limited to: polyester, nylon, PVC, latex, rubber, and silk.

Why buy silk flowers?

Silk flowers are available year-round in almost any color, size, and style that you prefer. They are more durable than real flowers and hold up well through time. With silk flowers you will get more for your money, and you won't have to worry about your flowers wilting or fading throughout the day. Most silk flowers & greenery stems are wired making them easy to work with. Best of all you will always have your bouquet or floral design as a memorable keepsake of your special day. 

What is in a DIY package? 

All of Bride in Bloom Weddings DIY packages will include the flowers, greenery, ribbons and finishing embellishments to design your project as pictured. What is not included that you may require in designing your project; wire cutters, scissors and glue gun with glue sticks. Design containers for centrepieces & floral design tape are available for purchase in the DIY wedding supply section of the shop.
